On June 5, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Derrick Anthony Mitchell, M.D. (Lic. No. M0828), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

The Board panel found that, between February and May of 2026, Dr. Mitchell was detained and/or arrested by law enforcement on multiple occasions exhibiting a pattern of intoxication, mental impairment, and violent behavior.

On June 3, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical radiologic technologist certificate of Joseph G. Dusse, MRT (Lic. No. GMR02004912), after determining his continuation in practice as a medical radiologic technologist would constitute a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately. 

On June 3, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas non-certified radiologic technologist registration certificate of Angela Louise Palmares, NCT (Lic. No. NCR02005436), after determining her continuation in practice as a non-certified radiologic technologist would constitute a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
