At its June 12, 2026, meeting, the Texas Medical Board disciplined 18 licensed physicians.
The disciplinary actions included: nine orders related to standard of care, one administrative/rules violation, two voluntary surrenders, one order related to unprofessional conduct, two Waiver Orders, two Mediated Settlement Agreed Orders, and one Default Order.

Agreed Orders
On June 9, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Michael Patrick Gallagher, M.D. (Lic. No. N1322), after determining he was arrested for criminally negligent homicide, a qualifying offense under Section 19.05 of the Texas Penal Code. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Dr. Gallagher was arrested for criminally negligent homicide related to the death of one patient.
