The Texas Medical Board has partnered with CE Broker, an online continuing education compliance platform, to ensure ALL TMB licensees can meet the state's statutory continuing education coursework requirements, including mandatory CE tracking.
Mandatory CE Tracking for ALL TMB licensees that have CE requirements is now in effect.
Here's what you need to know to get started with CE Broker today:
-
You do not have to pay for a CE Broker Basic account. ALL TMB licensees should, at a minimum, establish a free, basic account with CE Broker. Licensees do have the option to subscribe to an upgraded account, which offers additional CE tracking tools.
*When creating an account, use an email address you can access long term. A personal email address is recommended rather than a work or employer-issued email address.
- Continuing education compliance must now be verified through CE Broker BEFORE RENEWAL. Due to recent legislation, continuing education compliance for all health care practitioners must be verified through a continuing education tracking system BEFORE RENEWAL.
Licensees renewing on or after September 1, 2026 will be required to:
- Have an active, basic CE Broker account
- Ensure all completed CE coursework is reported in CE Broker
- Meet all applicable TMB continuing education requirements before renewal
Licensees should ensure their CE Broker account is established and that completed coursework is reported in CE Broker before attempting to renew their license. Licensees without a "Complete" status in CE Broker will be unable to access the TMB renewal system.
Information on CE Broker can be found on the CE Broker website.

Licensees will be unable to renew if the TMB cannot verify their CE compliance through CE Broker. Licensees must have an active CE Broker account and proof of all CE required for renewal uploaded to their account.
TMB licensees must use CE Broker. TMB will be unable to verify CE reported from individuals or other platforms.
