On June 9, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Michael Patrick Gallagher, M.D. (Lic. No. N1322), after determining he was arrested for criminally negligent homicide, a qualifying offense under Section 19.05 of the Texas Penal Code. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Dr. Gallagher was arrested for criminally negligent homicide related to the death of one patient.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days' notice to Dr. Gallagher unless the hearing is specifically waived by Dr. Gallagher.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
