The Texas Medical Board has partnered with CE Broker, an online continuing education compliance platform, to ensure ALL TMB licensees can meet the state's statutory continuing education coursework requirements, including mandatory CE tracking. TMB and CE Broker are continuing to refine the platform for Texas licensees, including updates and streamlining the reporting process for all license types.
Mandatory CE Tracking for ALL TMB licensees that have CE requirements begins September 1, 2026

CE Broker
Here's what you need to know to get started with CE Broker today:
- You do not have to pay for a CE Broker Basic account. ALL TMB licensees should, at a minimum, establish a free, basic account with CE Broker. Licensees do have the option to subscribe to an upgraded account, which offers additional CE tracking tools.
*When creating an account, use an email address you can access long term. A personal email address is recommended rather than a work or employer-issued email address.
- CE Broker is optional until September 1, 2026. Prior to that date, licensees are required to use CE Broker only if selected for an audit. The TMB will conduct the audit through CE Broker.
- Coming September 1, 2026. Due to recent legislation, continuing education compliance for all health care practitioners must be verified through a continuing education tracking system BEFORE RENEWAL. The TMB will maintain its collaboration with CE Broker to fulfill this mandate.
Licensees renewing on or after September 1, 2026 will be required to:
- Have an active, basic CE Broker account
- Ensure all completed CE coursework is reported in CE Broker
Licensees are strongly encouraged to set up a CE Broker account now! Doing so will allow ample time to get familiar with the platform, so you are fully prepared when the requirement takes effect.
Information on CE Broker can be found on the CE Broker website.

License types that do not have CE requirements are not required to establish a CE Broker account.
Currently, licensees are only required to use CE Broker if they are selected for an audit.
