Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology Suspends Cedar Park MRT (Gomez)

On August 4, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical radiologic technologist certificate of Derek Gomez, MRT (Lic. No. GMR00026781), after determining his continuation in the practice of medical radiologic technology poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

TMB Suspends Webster Physician (Fairweather)

On July 18, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, with notice, the Texas medical license of David Atilla Fairweather, M.D., (Lic. No. L7373) after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

The Board panel found Dr. Fairweather surrendered his DEA controlled substances registrations certificates connected to his prescribing and has refused to respond to Board subpoenas and requests for information.

David D. Davila, D.O., of Cypress, is a board certified cosmetic and general surgeon in Houston and has been medical director for Houston Cosmetic Surgery Center for the last ten years. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Baylor University at Waco and earned his medical degree from University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Dr.

Texas Physician Assistant Board Suspends McKinney Physician Assistant (Langfus)

On June 9, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Physician Assistant Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas physician assistant license of Michael Howard Langfus, P.A. (Lic. No. PA01338), after determining his continuation in the practice as a physician assistant poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

 

The Board panel found that Mr. Langfus suffers from an impairment that interferes with his ability to practice safely as a physician assistant.  

 

Imran A. Dar, M.D.

Imran A. Dar, M.D., of Houston is an Associate Professor and Interventional Cardiologist at UT Health – Center 
for Advanced Cardiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Cardiology 
and the American Heart Association. Dar received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from West Virginia University 
and a Doctor of Medicine from the West Virginia School of Medicine.
