TMB Suspends Roseville, CA Physician (Haider)

On December 20, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Khursheed Haider, M.D. (Lic. No. T0800), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.

 

The Board panel found that on or around November 30, 2023, Dr. Haider was indicted for distribution and possession of child pornography.

 

TMB Disciplines 18 Physicians at December Meeting

At its December 8, 2023 meeting, the Texas Medical Board disciplined 18 licensed physicians.  

 

The disciplinary actions included: three orders related to unprofessional conduct, five orders related to quality of care, one voluntary surrender/revocation, two revocations, two orders related to nontherapeutic prescribing, one order related to peer review action, and four orders related to other states’ actions. The Board also ratified two cease and desist orders.  

 

TMB Suspends Lubbock Physician (Colvin)

On December 6, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Jeffrey Norman Colvin, M.D. (Lic. No. H2313), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

The Board panel found that on or around November 18, 2023, Dr. Colvin was arrested in Lubbock County on the charge of Indecent Assault, a Class A misdemeanor.  

 

Sheela L. Lahoti, M.D.

Sheela L. Lahoti, M.D., of Houston, is the Associate Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs at the McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she also serves as a Professor of pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Lahoti received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Mark L. Hobson

Mark Hobson, of Houston, is retired and has more than 46 years of experience in the furniture industry. He is an advisory board member of the Neuhaus Education Center and a volunteer for the Christian Community Service Center. Additionally, he is the former president of the Royden Oaks Association of Property Owners and a former member of the board of directors for the Briar Club. Hobson received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.

TMB Suspends Lexington, KY PIT (Larkin)

On November 17, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas physician-in-training permit of Kaitlin Elizabeth Larkin, M.D. (Lic. No. BP10085686), after determining her continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately. 

 

The Board panel found that Dr. Larkin, who is enrolled in a pathology residency program at Houston Methodist, suffers from an impairment that interferes with her ability to practice medicine safely.  

Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology Suspends Fort Worth MRT (Greene)

On November 14, 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical radiologic technologist certificate of Warren Greene, MRT (Lic. No. GMR02009715), after determining his continuation in the practice of medical radiologic technology poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

TMB Suspends Houston Physician (Rosenfield)

On November 15 2023, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical license of Bernard Lloyd Rosenfeld, M.D. (Lic. No. F7687), after determining his continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.  

 

The Board panel found that Dr. Rosenfeld is suffering from an impairment that interferes with his ability to safely practice.
