On August 20, 2026, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended, without notice, the Texas medical radiologic technologist certificate of Rachel Savannah Zima, MRT (Lic. No. GMR02007342), after determining her continuation in practice as a medical radiologic technologist would constitute a continuing threat to public welfare. The suspension was effective immediately.
The Board panel found that Ms. Zima developed an incapacity as a result of drug or alcohol dependency that prevents the practice of radiologic technology with reasonable skill, competence, and safety to the public.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable with 10 days' notice to Ms. Zima unless the hearing is specifically waived by Ms. Zima.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the Board takes further action.
